Tunnelmia avointen ovien illasta
Avointen ovien illassa (13.10.2025) esiteltiin yhdistyksen ensimmäistä omaa kerhotilaa, joka sijaitsee hyvien kulkuyhteyksien päässä Kuopion keskustassa. Kerhotilassa tullaan järjestämään sekä yhdistyksen omia, että Kotona Savossa -hankkeen tapahtumia ja tilaisuuksia.
Kävijämäärä yllätti iloisesti järjestäjät ja tavoite ihmisten kohtaamisesta ylittyi moninkertaisesti.
Illan aikana esiteltiin hankkeen työntekijät sekä mukana olevat suomalaiset ja ukrainalaiset vapaaehtoiset, joiden työpanos tulee olemaan merkittävä koko hankkeen ajan.
Kotona Savossa -hankkeen esittelyssä kerroimme tärkeimmät tavoitteet ja toimintasuunnitelman. Hankkeessa tullaan järjestämään kotoutumista tukevaa toimintaa, mm. kielikahviloita, työpajoja, kerhoja, arkielämän tukea ja psykologisen tuen vertaisryhmiä.

Відкриття нашого проєкту перевершило всі очікування! До нас прийшло не просто багато людей, а активних, зацікавлених і позитивно налаштованих учасників з обох сторін. Було неймовірно приємно бачити, як моя мрія здійснюється. Коли ті, хто вже пройшов шлях інтеграції, допомагають тим, хто лише розпочинає його.
Зараз ми працюємо над деталями: формуємо розклад, узгоджуємо участь запрошених гостей і співпрацю з додатковими організаціями. Слідкуйте за оновленнями нашої групи, щоб бути в курсі подій!

The time came for us to introduce ourselves to the community and what a delightful surprise it was. Space cleaned and prepared - check. Presentation complete and equipment in full function - check. Warm coffee and tea on standby - check. Finnish, Ukrainian and English - not perfect but good enough for now!
On a simple autumn evening we held our opening at 17:00 on October 13th, Monday. Mondays and October the 13th come with their own narratives, but we didn't let that stop us. Everything was set, and the sooner we got to hear from the community, the better.
The doors weren't even open yet and we already got several eager participants by 16:40. Obviously we warmly welcomed them in and offered them refreshments while we completed the finishing touches to the preparation.
We had hoped to start the introductory presentation by 17:15, but we still had droves of people coming in one after another. By the time things settled down, it was already 17:40 and we had an absolute full house. What an honor and wave of motivation to kick things off with!
The presentation and introductions went as smooth as could be but the best part was the engagement at the end of it. Everyone was inquisitive and enthusiastic to discover how this project works and can it help them, and with full confidence it can be said that that's what the project is here for.
This isn't just a service, but a collective collaboration with the immediate community and we can only move forward together in figuring out how we can tangibly improve the quality of life of those who have received temporary protection from Finland. Your voice matters. With deep gratitude we welcome participants and volunteers alike! Thank you once again for the successful opening and we look forward to working together with you all!
